WORKSHOPS + FACILITATION

Wisconsin Partners and member groups use a model that combines asset-based community development, the broad-based relational model, and our own wisdom from years of experience. â€‹We all know the value of working together to address root causes, but how do we really do it?

Director Rachel Peller can offer interactive workshops and facilitation, typically 45-90 minutes. Wisconsin Partners Members get one free workshop per year as part of their membership. Follow-up workshops are $250+travel. Non-member rate: $600+travel.

  • Effective one-on-ones - One-on-one meetings are a core practice. We can offer tips and practice space making this time as effective as possible. How do we build trust and get to the root of mutual self-interest with someone else?

  • Asset-mapping and power-mapping - Ready to take action? We can guide you through Asset-Mapping, which helps identifies the strengths and resources available to you, and Power-Mapping, which helps understand who has influence and power in a situation, and how to strategically connect with those people.

  • Depolarization for community action - We believe that every person in the community has something to offer, and we want everyone to be involved. This means we are working across political divides on a regular basis. We can offer depolarizing workshops to help you and your team collaborate in the midst of polarization

ASSET-BASED COOPERATION

It's easy to say what we're against -- deadlock, disempowerment, polarization, and isolation. But what are we moving towards? How do we build strong organizations that take collective action with partners and communities?

Director Rachel Peller has been working with key staff at the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association to develop a series of workshops that support organizations in building an environment where everyone has voice and influence, and poised for effective, powerful impact.

Member Rate: $300+travel for a 45-90 minute workshop, or $750+travel for a series of three workshops (half-day, or staggered)

Non-Member Rate: $500+travel for a 45-90 minute workshop, or $1,250+travel for a series of three workshops (half-day, or staggered)

  • Strategies that Work: Building relationships before we need them - We can help you move from one-on-one relationships to team-building, specifically keeping in mind the work of connecting across various divides. These relationships are the foundation for effective shared action.

  • Identifying Common Ground & Working Across Divides It's one thing to believe that there's value in working across divides, and another to actually do it well. We have a toolkit of creative, effective facilitation that can help diverse coalitions find common ground and get things done together!

  • Embracing Discomfort & Transforming Conflict - For change and healing to happen, we need to connect across divides. The comfortable need to embrace discomfort in order to grow; the uncomfortable need space to heal. This workshop will explore theories around humanity's relationship with discomfort, build capacity for the hard times, and allow for practice in the early stages of conflict transformation.

  • What do we do when we can't do it all? Priorities & Decision-Making in Complex Times - With the best intentions, our organizations often bite off more than they can chew. We know the needs are endless and there is always more to do. But could we prioritize quality over quantity and focus our energy on the work that really matters most? This highly interactive workshop will provide case studies, discussion, and exercises to evaluate and guide your organizations toward intentional decision-making and values-based prioritization.
