UPDATES + ANNOUNCEMENTS

Apr - Jun 2023

We are taking a community tour again! In lieu of a traditional board meeting, we will be visiting Southwest Partners in Richland Center on May 23 for a bus tour, training, and learning exchange. There will be opportunities to build relationships with multi-sector partners from around the state, spotlight the work of your own organization in the region, and learn about an effective model for successful communityRegister here >

We are working with the Wisconsin Early Childhood Association, one of our members, to amplify voices of parents, grandparents, and other primary caregivers around the child care crisis in our state. Read more here >

This year, our conversation series focuses on Connection. In January, Mary Kay Battaglia (NAMI Wisconsin) hosted a conversation on Mental Health and Connection, with support from Jessica Neumann (United Way). In March, Anne Katz (Create WI) and Darrin Wasniewski (AARP Wisconsin) launched a dialogue around Physical Space + Community Resilience. Our June conversation will spotlight the work of rural communities to embrace newcomers and immigrants, led by Stephanie Harrison (WPHCA) and Marie Barry (RWHC). If you would like to receive an invitation, please contact info@wisconsinpartners.org.

RWHC Leadership Develop Series: “Walk the Talk: Leadership Accountability” (virtual only)

Thursday, May 18, 2023, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. CT

Program Description: It’s about integrity. When a leader’s actions match his words, it is a big driver for employee morale. “Walk your talk” role models your expectations of what you want from others and builds the trust that is fundamental to great teams. Be true to your personal and professional mission.

Consider taking this workshop if the following are mostly true for you: I am a new leader and I want to learn the most fundamental ways of earning credibility in that role. I believe that my words match my actions but sometimes I struggle to know the right thing to do or say when there are conflicting values. My employee engagement survey results are not where they could be. I want to take words like accountability, integrity, courage, respect, professionalism, responsibility, trust, courage, respect and ethics and put them into action into my everyday work to leave a lifelong legacy.
